I've been in a meh kind of mood lately. It seems the more I get what I want out of life, the more anxious I become that I am on the verge of losing it.

I discovered a neat store yesterday at TD Square. It's called Land & Sea and sells an assortment of completely random things, from scented soaps to Jesus action figures to hilarious self-help books. It's a great little gift-finding shop.

Sal's on 17th is a good bar with live music. Nice place to sit and chat, especially if you manage to snag the leather couches by the windows. Do I go out too much? I don't know.

well. time for work. yeah.

Nice to know places to hang out. We'll have to find a good one or 2 and get a little group together to do that after people's work someday.

Welcome back to Calgary! *throws confetti*

Yes we really should. My favorite hangout spot downtown is still the Ship and Anchor though, on weekdays when it's not ridiculously crowded. Best nachos ever!

I love McNally Robinson's downtown (a 3 storey bookstore on Stephen Avenue with a lovely restaurant in it). That's my only central hangout.

I love McNally and Robinson's! although I've never been to their restaurant. They are the only large bookstore in Calgary not owned by Chapters (that I know of), and therefore tend to feature more local writers and host lots of readings and book signings and such. I always take cover from the rain in there if I'm anywhere near Stephen Avenue.
